This Privacy Statement describes how BWW treats personal information when you use the tools and services (“the “Service”) made available to you through BWW’s Web site located at (the “Site”). This Privacy Statement does not address or govern any information gathering, use, or dissemination practices related to information collected from the user (referred to as “you” or “your”) other than directly through or from the Site, such as from telephone, facsimile, postal mail, personal delivery, or other or additional offline means or media. This Site is intended for use only by residents of the United States. By using the Site, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Statement.

Depending on the sponsor of your use of the Site, you may be required to agree to an alternative privacy statement (“Alternative Privacy Statement”). You may obtain a copy of the privacy statement applicable to your use of the Site by logging into Big White Wall with your User ID and password and selecting: Account > Content.

  1. Collection of Personally Identifiable Information. The term "personally identifiable information" as used in this Privacy Statement means any information or set of information that identifies a specific individual. Certain areas and features of BWW are available to you without registration or the need to provide any information. However, other features of the Site or the Service may require registration, which involves you entering only your e-mail address and password. In order to benefit from the full functionality of the Service, you may also decide to complete an Assessment and Personal Profile to enable Big White Wall to personalize the Service for your use. From time to time we may request other personal information to provide you with other benefits of the Service. In all such instances, you will be given the opportunity to provide or to decline to provide that information, and it will be used only for the stated purpose and as described in this Privacy Statement. The information that you provide to BWW may reveal sensitive health information about you, such as mental health, HIV/AIDs status, or substance abuse information. Visitors who have provided personally identifiable information may elect to have their data deactivated from our files by following the instructions described in the "Contact Us" section of this Privacy Statement. Should you elect to have your data deactivated from our files, please note that you will also compromise your future ability to log into BWW.

  2. Use of Personally Identifiable Information Collected. We may use personally identifiable information to deliver the Service to you, to communicate with you about your use of the Service, and to respond to your inquiries or requests. We may also use information that we collect to improve BWW, for our analyses, market research, project planning, troubleshooting problems, enforcing our Terms of Use, and detecting and protecting against error, fraud, or illegal or criminal activity. We may use information as necessary to enforce our rights against you or in connection with a breach by you of BWW’s Terms of Use. We may remove the elements of your information that could identify you, and may use and disclose the resulting “de-identified” information without restrictions. For example, BWW may create de-identified, statistical, and aggregate data to prepare reports about BWW that do not identify any individual users. From time to time, we may also ask for express consent to use your information for other purposes specified in such consent.

We allow users to subscribe to e-mail newsletters and, from time to time, we may transmit e-mails promoting Big White Wall or third-party goods or services. If you subscribe to these communications and choose to receive them via your personal e-mail, you should be aware that e- mail between you and us may not be secure. See the section of this Privacy Statement below regarding how to disable e-mail notifications.

    • to our contractors who assist us in managing, administering or delivering BWW. We will require such parties to protect and govern the use of the information about you according to this Privacy Statement and other requirements that we place upon them by contract.
    • in connection with the sale, assignment, or other transfer of the BWW business, we may transfer the information about you, in which case we will require any such buyer or acquiring party to agree to treat the information in accordance with this Privacy Statement.
    • to respond to law enforcement requests or where required by applicable laws, court orders, or government regulations.
    • from time to time, we may also ask for express permission from you to disclose your information pursuant to a specific consent.
  4. Passive Information Collection. When you visit the Site, we may collect technical and navigational information, such as computer browser type, Internet protocol address, Big White Wall pages visited, and average time spent on our Site. This information may be used, for example, to alert you to software compatibility issues, or it may be analyzed to improve our Web design and functionality.

“Cookies” are alphanumeric identifiers in the form of text files that are inserted and stored by your Web browser on your computer’s hard drive. Big White Wall may set and access cookies on your computer to track and store preferential information about you. Big White Wall may gather information about you through cookie technology. For example, Big White Wall may assign a cookie to limit the number of times you see a particular Big White Wall Offer or to help better determine which Big White Wall Offers to serve to you. Please note that most Internet browsers will allow you to stop cookies from being stored on your computer and to delete cookies stored on your computer. If you choose to eliminate cookies, the full functionality of the Service may be impaired.

We encode our cookies so that only we can interpret the information stored in them.

Web beacons are images embedded in a Web page or e-mail message for the purpose of measuring and analyzing site usage and activity. Big White Wall, or third-party service providers acting on our behalf, may use Web beacons to help us analyze site usage and improve the Service.

We may use third-party service providers to help us analyze certain online activities. For example, these service providers may help us measure the performance of our online campaigns or analyze visitor activity on the Site. We may permit these service providers to use cookies and other technologies to perform these services for Big White Wall. We do not share any personal information about our customers with these third-party service providers, and these service providers do not collect such information on our behalf. Our third-party service providers are required to comply fully with this Privacy Statement.

Some browsers incorporate a Do Not Track feature that signals to websites you visit that you do not want to have your online activity tracked. “Tracking” refers to collecting information from consumers as they move across different websites over time. This Site is not yet set up to look for or respond to Do Not Track signals communicated by your browser. For a description of Do Not Track protocols for browsers and mobile devices, or simply to learn more about the choices available to you, you can visit the All About Do Not Track website:

  5. Links to Third Party Sites. The Site may contain links to other web sites. These “other” domains (web sites) are not controlled by BWW. BWW encourages our users to be aware when they leave our Site to read the privacy policies of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. We do not endorse, screen or approve, and are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such other web sites. Visiting these other web sites is at your own risk.

  6. Children. BWW is not directed at children and is designed for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We will not request or knowingly collect information from an individual under 18 years of age.

  7. Security Measures. We take reasonable steps to protect information about you in our possession and control, such as for information associated with the Site, and to protect such information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. You should keep in mind that no Internet transmission is ever completely secure or error-free. In particular, e-mail sent between you and us may not be secure.

  8. Communicating with BWW by E-Mail. BWW subscribers have the ability to opt- out of receiving our promotional e-mails and to terminate their newsletter subscriptions by following the instructions in the e-mails. Opting out in this manner will not end transmission of service-related messages, such as alerts. However, you may choose at any time to disable all email notifications, so that service-related messages are sent to you through your Account on the Site rather than through your personal e-mail, by going to “Account > Email notifications” to manage email settings.

  9. Contacting Us and Account De-Activation. If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Statement, the practices of BWW, or your experience with the Site, you can contact us using the contact information below. In addition, you may request that we de-activate your account for the Service, in which case your data will be permanently expunged from our primary production servers, and further access to your account will not be possible. However, your data may remain on a backup server or media. Big White Wall keeps these backups to ensure our continued ability to provide the Service to you in the event of malfunction or damage to our primary production servers. We also reserve the right to use any aggregated or anonymous data derived from or incorporating your personal information.
